Hippo CFO Stewart Ellis said that Q3 2022 will likely be Hippo’s “peak loss quarter,” adding that he believes the company can achieve profitability without raising additional capital.

The commentary follows the insurer’s second-quarter earnings announcement, in which Hippo reported an 83-point improvement in its gross loss ratio to 78%.
