Argo is testing the market for a reinsurance to close (RITC) transaction for the run-off liabilities of Ariel Syndicate 1910, which it sold to Pelican and JC Flowers in 2020, this publication can reveal.

The potential deal relates to £170mn ($205mn) of reserves, and Gallagher Re is understood to be advising Argo.
