Allstate names Rizzo to succeed Shapiro as president of property-liability

Allstate has disclosed that its president of property-liability, Glenn Shapiro, is retiring, effective September 30, with CFO Mario Rizzo taking his place, effective September 1.

Jess Merten, president of Allstate’s financial products business, will take over as CFO, also on September 1.

Shapiro joined Allstate as chief claims officer in 2016 and has held his current position since 2018.
