Natural catastrophes remain the most significant risk for Caribbean P&C carriers amid escalating loss costs due to heightened climate risk, inflation and higher reinsurance rates, according to AM Best.

According to the firm’s latest report, all AM Best-rated P&C insurers present in the Caribbean purchase catastrophe reinsurance to protect their balance sheets.
