The US cyber insurance industry's loss ratio decreased by one point to 66% for the calendar year 2021, with a significant leap in premium per policy and a continued increase in severity, according to a report from Aon.

The US cyber market update for 2021 found that earned premium per policy increased for both standalone and package policies by 25% and 21% respectively on an earned basis.
