Allstate brand auto rates increased 14.5% across eight locations in North America last month, the carrier reported, a pricing implementation that resulted in a total Allstate brand insurance premium impact of 3.2%.

The Allstate price hike in August added up to $777mn in new premium, driving the year-to-date rates implementation to $2.5bn.
