InsurTech Re raises $14mn in seed funding round

San Francisco-based InsurTech Re has raised $14mn in a seed funding round with the participation of Tribe Capital, Defy and Exor.

Other investors, including SiriusPoint, Morgan Creek Digital, Stratos and Framework, also participated in the seed fundraise.

The company said the fresh capital will help finance the build-out of its blockchain-powered reinsurance underwriting pipeline.
