Rates across RLI’s hurricane book rose 25% in Q3: COO Klobnak

Specialty insurer RLI recorded rate increases of 25% across its hurricane-exposed portfolio during the third quarter, while the carrier’s overall property unit booked an 8% positive rate change, COO Jennifer Klobnak told analysts.

“Since January 1, 2019, the cumulative rate increases [across] our hurricane book is 110%, and new business pricing is higher than renewal,” the executive said.
