AM Best has placed Alleghany and several of its affiliates, including TransRe, under review with positive implications following the completion of the merger with Berkshire Hathaway.

TransRe and its subsidiaries currently have a financial strength rating (FSR) of A+ and a long-term issuer credit rating (ICR) of aa- from AM Best.
