Axis CEO Albert Benchimol said this is “not the time” to soften public D&O rates, as the industry grapples with a possible recession and increased geopolitical risk.

In an interview with this publication after the Bermudian’s Q3 conference call, Benchimol said he has been surprised by the meaningful easing in public D&O rates after two hugely profitable years for the broader D&O market.
