Argo has said adding Ron Bobman and his other nominee David Michelson to its board would lead to a “degradation in the quality of board dialogue”, with neither bringing “any incremental skills” to the management team.

In a scathing response to the activist investor’s attempts to join the board of the firm, Argo announced that it had interviewed both nominees and concluded that their addition would result in a “loss of superior talent and experience”.
