Mercury General CoR weakens 3.8 points to 102.8% as auto inflationary trends persist

Mercury General's combined ratio increased 3.8 points on year to 102.8%, as inflationary pressures continue to impact the personal-auto-focused carrier's results.

The carrier cited inflation, supply chain issues and labor shortages as the drivers behind an increase in auto loss severity, and ultimately its third-quarter loss ratio compared to Q3 2021.
