Inflation has pushed valuations to the center of discussion for property insurance renewals, but there is still lot of catching up to do, said panelists during a discussion at Advisen’s Property Insights Conference on Thursday.

Valuation has always been a part of the conversation, but the industry’s recognition of the importance of maintaining accurate data spiked recently, after carriers were “caught off-guard” by the impact of losses outpacing reported values.
