Intact’s Q3 CoR rises 1.3 points to 92.6% on higher inflation, personal lines frequency

Higher inflation and claims frequency in the personal lines division sent Intact’s Q3 combined ratio up 1.3 points to 92.6%.

While the company posted lower cat losses and expenses in the quarter, its overall underwriting performance was impacted by a deterioration in its personal auto and homeowners’ business, as the firm’s core loss ratio went up 5.2
