Capital Returns has rebuked Argo’s recently filed investor presentation, calling it “insincere” while claiming the insurer has underperformed its selected-peer group for the past 10 years and failed to create long-term value.

The activist investor’s statement comes as a reaction to Argo’s message to investors last Friday ahead of the carrier’s annual shareholder meeting.
