Inflation, the energy crisis and supply chains are all issues D&O underwriters will monitor closely in 2023, as challenging economic conditions threaten a rise in claims, according to Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).

The insurer said in a report on the market that “one of the most pressing questions” was whether companies will be able to offset higher wage bills, energy costs and borrowing costs with enhancements in productivity.
