Oneok has settled its downstream claim relating to the explosion at a plant in Oklahoma for $930mn, a sum substantially below earlier fears in the market.

The agreement comes as welcome news to loss-hit downstream underwriters, who are counting the cost of numerous substantial claims in 2022.
