Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has called for the state legislature to convene an extraordinary session to appropriate money for the Insure Louisiana Incentive Fund.

The fund was created in 2022 to attract more insurance companies to the state.

A number of insurers have withdrawn from Louisiana since Hurricane Ian last year.
