Louisiana legislators will gather on Monday for a special session to discuss funding the Insure Louisiana Incentive Fund with $45mn from the state's surplus, in a bid to attract more insurance capacity.

The state is facing capacity constraints in its property insurance market, compounded by heavy cat losses from hurricanes Laura, Delta, Zeta and Ida.
