Surplus lines premiums soared 24.1% in 2022 to $63.3bn: WSIA

Surplus lines premiums shot up 24.1% in 2022 to a record $63.3bn as standard lines business continues to flow into non-admitted channels, the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) reported.

Last year’s rise represented the largest year-over-year expansion in stamping office premium since the association began recording data in 2009.
