New York InsurTech Lemonade’s Q4 2022 net loss narrowed to $63.7mn from $70.3mn a year earlier, despite cat losses driven by Winter Storm Elliott and personal lines headwinds.

The company’s net loss ratio improved one point to 97%, although the personal lines sector continues to be affected by rising inflation and higher frequency and severity in the auto segment.
