Demand for homeowners’ flood insurance is at the highest level it’s been in recent years, but it is estimated that only 15%-20% of US homes carry it, according to CRC.

In its “State of the Market at a Glance” report, the wholesale broker noted that the trend comes as the US continues to experience catastrophic flash flooding and heavy rainfall events in “inland” and coastal areas across the country.
