TypTap shelves planned IPO after prolonged delay

HCI’s InsurTech subsidiary TypTap has shelved its planned IPO following an initial delay, marking the latest incidence of malaise for the listed InsurTech sector.

TypTap initially announced its plans to go public in August 2021, but by January 2022 it had delayed the float, commenting that current market pricing did not reflect the company’s value.
