Aspen reports U/W income of $190mn and 93% combined ratio for 2022

Bermuda-based (re)insurer Aspen Insurance reported underwriting income of $190mn for 2022, a significant improvement on the $30mn loss reported the previous year.

The carrier also posted a combined ratio of 93%, trimming 8.2 points off its CoR for the year, and an adjusted CoR of 92.4%
