FI rates unmoved by SVB collapse but hardening is possible: Amwins

The high-profile collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) has had no immediate impact on rating trajectory in the D&O or financial institutions market, but hardening remains a “likely possibility”, according to broker Amwins.

Amwins said ongoing high levels of capacity, plus hunger from new entrants and MGAs to make an investment return and a lack of IPO activity, meant there had been no immediate impact on rates.
