Cincinnati Financial's Q1 loss ratio worsened 12.5 points year on year to 71.6%, including 12.8 percentage points related to natural weather catastrophes. 

The 12.8-point contribution was double the company’s five-year historical Q1 average of 6.3 points.

Overall, the carrier reported a combined ratio of 100.7%
