The Hartford pays $787mn Boy Scouts settlement following court confirmation

The Hartford has disbursed the $787mn revised settlement it agreed to pay the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to settle claims for sexual abuse as part of the organization’s bankruptcy case, regulatory filings show.

The Connecticut-based insurer made the payment on April 20, according to SEC filings reviewed by Inside P&C.
