Louisiana’s Donelon issues $2mn in fines to Texas law firm for insurance fraud

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon has issued fines totalling $2mn to Texas law firm McClenny Moseley & Associates (MMA) and its partners for engaging in unfair trade practices and insurance fraud involving at least 850 Louisiana homeowners and policyholders.

MMA, founding partners James McClenny and John Moseley, and Louisiana managing partner William Huye III were each fined $500,000, the maximum allowed under current law.
