Enstar swings to profit, reports $424mn in Q1 earnings

Enstar reported net earnings of $424mn for the first quarter of 2023, up from the $282mn net loss reported in the same period last year.

The legacy carrier recorded a return on equity of 9.5% for the quarter compared with -4.6% for the same period last year, largely driven by investment returns of $355mn.
