AIG has named Sabra Purtill as CFO on a permanent basis effective immediately, as Shane Fitzsimons stepped down from his role following a medical leave of absence.

Purtill became interim CFO in January after AIG terminated Mark Lyons from his positions as interim CFO and EVP global chief actuary, saying the executive violated his confidentiality/non-disclosure obligations to the firm.
