June auto insurance price rises moderate to 16.9% as inflation continues to cool

Motor vehicle insurance price increases moderated to 16.9% in June from 17.1% in May, while the all-items Consumer Price Index (CPI) slowed to 3.0% from 4.0%.

The overall CPI rise in June was the smallest 12-month increase since the period ending March 2021.

The all-items less food and energy index rose 4.8%
