Travelers Q2 CoR worsens by 8.2 points to 106.5% on $1.5bn cat loss

Travelers’ Q2 combined ratio increased by 8.2 points to 106.5% as the company was hit by $1.48bn of catastrophe losses during the quarter compared  with $746mn in the prior-year period.

The insurer’s personal lines business booked over $1bn of cat losses, of which $979mn came from the homeowners' segment and $85mn came from the personal auto division.
