Pricing for US public company D&O is now “inadequate generally” following a period of substantial softening, according to Axis Capital CEO Vincent Tizzio.

The executive said that the carrier continued to reposition its D&O book due to the pricing environment, which contributed to a 3% rating reduction across its financial lines portfolio in the second quarter.
