Exposure to China Construction Bank Corp (CCB) letters of credit (LOCs) increased significantly in 2022, with US insurance industry exposure to CCB totaling nearly $1.3bn and having grown by $1.2bn last year alone, according to an AM Best report.

The top five fronting companies by reinsurance LOC exposure to CCB are: Clear Blue Insurance, Homeowners of America, Clear Blue Specialty, Trisura Specialty and Highlander Specialty.
