Global analytics and technology firm Verisk has estimated that insured losses to onshore property from Hurricane Idalia will range from $2.5bn to $4bn.

The industry loss estimate includes wind and insured storm surge estimates across Idalia’s track.

Most of the insured losses will be attributed to wind, according to Verisk.
