Annual global insured loss for nat cats reaches new high of $133bn: Verisk

The global modeled insured average annual loss from natural catastrophes is about $133bn, a new high, according to Verisk.

In its 2023 Global Model Catastrophe Losses report, the analytics firm warned that the insurance industry should be prepared to experience more than $100bn of insured losses from natural catastrophes every year.
