KKR to become USI’s largest shareholder following new $1bn+ equity investment

Private equity house KKR is set to become USI’s largest single shareholder after investing more than $1bn in additional equity of the retail broker.

With the deal, KKR purchased over half of USI shares held by Canadian investment firm Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) in addition to stock from other investors.
