Around one-third of Florida Citizens October depopulation notices delayed

As of last week, Florida Citizens had sent out depopulation notices to more than 300,000 policyholders for October, though nearly one-third of those notices were delayed.

Though it’s not required, the state’s insurer-of-last-resort aims to give policyholders 30 days to make a decision on a takeout offer, a Citizens spokesperson said.
