2023 nat-cat losses to surpass $100bn for sixth consecutive year: Gallagher Re

Insured losses from natural catastrophes are on track to surpass $100bn in 2023, the sixth consecutive year that the threshold will be passed, according to Gallagher Re’s latest report.

The broker said $100bn+ loss years are becoming the “new normal”, with severe convective storms being the costliest loss events.
