Amwins has said in a report that it sees billion-dollar cat events continuing and that loss-free accounts inclusive of cat exposure will likely continue to experience substantial rate increases for the remainder of the year.

The report noted that 2023 marks the 16th consecutive year with insured US severe convective storm (SCS) losses topping $10bn.
