Hippo Holdings has initiated a voluntary workforce reduction that will affect up to approximately 120 employees, equivalent to 20% of its worldwide workforce, the company wrote in a regulatory filing.

The announcement confirms this publication’s reporting earlier in the day that the personal lines InsurTech would lay off a portion of its workforce in an effort to lower expenses and reach profitability by 2024.
