CDI approves Fair Plan’s use of ZestyAI wildfire risk analytics product

The California Department of Insurance has given the state’s FAIR Plan approval to use the Z-Fire wildfire risk analytics product, developed by ZestyAI, a California InsurTech.

According to ZestyAI, the Z-Fire product will allow the FAIR Plan, California’s “last resort” insurer, to more equitably set rates by distinguishing between properties that are highly mitigated against wildfire and those that are not.
