US lawmakers introduce bill to promote broader coverage for FL specialty crop growers

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Representative Scott Franklin (R-FL) and colleagues have introduced legislation that would help the state’s specialty crop growers access more comprehensive crop insurance coverage.

The Temperature Endorsement for Multi-Peril Policies (TEMP Act) would direct the Risk Management Agency within the US Department of Agriculture to develop a crop insurance policy to cover losses caused by cold exposure and freezes.
