Obsidian Specialty CEO Bill Jewett said that the number of fronting carriers could shrink to half of the number today in the next three to five years, driven by consolidation.

In an interview with this publication, the executive estimated nearly 22 to 24 “true fronting carriers” operate in the US market right now and anticipates that ultimately condensing to 10 to 15 fronts.
