Capacity across the energy market remains “abundant”, suggesting high loss activity over the last two years has been viewed by insurers as a “momentary blip”, according to a report from WTW.

The broker said in its energy-market review that there was “plenty” of capacity for most good upstream risks, while new entrants are expected to join the downstream market.
