Excess casualty rates faltering, but critical in tackling social inflation: Argo’s Taylor

As social inflation continues to drive up claims costs across casualty lines, getting more rate is critical for carriers, according to Argo’s head of excess casualty Jayson Taylor. 

In an interview with this publication, the executive added, “We still see the nuclear verdicts happening even when [insureds] did everything they're supposed to,” citing the adoption of technology to identify and address safety hazards.
