WR Berkley today said it has named S. Akbar Khan president of Preferred Employers Insurance, a Berkley company, effective immediately. He succeeds Dennis J. Levesque.

Khan is a 20-year insurance industry veteran, serving most recently as a senior officer at a leading national US insurer.
