Fairfax completes $860mn stake acquisition in Gulf Insurance Group

Fairfax has completed the acquisition of a further $860mn stake in Gulf Insurance Group (GIG), boosting its equity interest in the firm to 90%.

The deal was announced in April, whereby Fairfax agreed to purchase a 46% GIG stake from Kuwait Projects Company at $6.53
