Bermudian legacy firm Carrick Group has entered a loss portfolio transfer (LPT) with Brazilian private reinsurance company IRB(Re).

Insurance Insider understands the deal covers around $30mn-$40mn of reserves.

The deal was struck via Carrick Re Limited, Carrick’s Bermuda class 3A reinsurer, on behalf of the Brazilian carrier’s UK branch, ahead of a Part VII transfer.
