This follows a record-breaking $63bn of premium and 24.1% growth for 2022.

Surplus lines premiums increased 14.6% in 2023 to $72.7bn, as standard lines business continued to flow into non-admitted channels, the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) reported.
